--Yesterday morning the glass works of Wm. Frank & Son at Franktown Station, on the Pittsburgh & Connellsville railroad, were entirely destroyed by fire, supposed to be incendiary. Two dwelling houses adjoining were also consumed. Total loss estimated at $60,000. Frank & Son's loss will probably reach $55,000; insured for 37,800.

These 11 green glass or bottle factories manufacture all descriptions of green and black bottles, fruit jars and similar articles. They employ 944 hands, whose annual wages amount to $566,000. They use 3450 tons of soda ash, 12,050 tons of sand, 66,400 bushels of lime, 1060 barrels of salt, 465 tons of pot clay, 625 kegs of nails, 22 tons of iron, 65,000 fire brick, 86,000 bushels coke, 940,000 bushels coal, 625 cords wood, 1560 tons straw, boxes and barrels to the value of $107,000 for packing, and employ 21 wagons and 36 horses in hauling. The works occupy a space of 18 acres, and the capital in machinery, buildings and ground is about $925,000. The value of the product is $1,350,000.

I, Isaac W. Frank, a NATIVE AND LOYAL CITIZEN OF THE
UNITED STATES, hereby apply to the Department of State, at Washington, for a passport.

Accompanied by my wife, Tinnie K. Frank

I solemnly swear that I was born at Pittsburgh, in the State of
Pennsylvania, on or about the 2nd day of December, 1855 that
my father William (rank, was born in Bavaria:
(that he emigrated to the United States from the port of Havre, France
on or about ..., 1840 that he resided 52 years, uninterrupted, in 
the United States, from 1840 to 1892, at Pittsburgh, Pa., ; That he was
naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the Common Pleas court
of Harrison County, at Cadiz, Ohio,
on November 3rd, 1846 as shown by the accompanying Certificate of Naturalization);
That I am domiciled in the United States, my present residence being at Pittsburgh,
in the state of Pennsylvania, where I follow the occupation of manufacturer;
that I am about to go abroad temporarily; and I intend to return to the United States within six
months with the purpose of residing and performing the duties of citizenship therein; and that I desire
a passport for use in visiting the countries hereinafter named for the following purpose:

I intend to leave the United States from the port of San Pedro
sailing on board the North West on March 6th, 1917
