GLASS BOTTLES AND SIPHONS. C. Stolzle's Sohne, Actiengesellschaft Fur Glasfabrikation, Vienna, Austria-Hungary. Filed November 28, 1905. Serial No. 15,045. PUBLISHED MAY 22, 1906. The Official Gazette of the United States Patent Office (Washington, District of Columbia) August 7, 1906 _______________________________________________________________________________________ KOSCHERAK,-On Monday, March 18, 1907, Emanuel Koscherak, beloved husband of Emma Koscherak and beloved father of Ferdinand E., Otto L., and Ernst Koscherak, at his residence, 127 West 82d St., New York City, in the 56th year of his age. New York Times (New York, New York) March 19, 1907 _______________________________________________________________________________________ Our representative was especially interested in the fact, as shown by Mr. Otto L. Koscherak, that His firm commenced doing business with Carl H. Schultz in 1889. This certainly speaks very well for the merits of Koscherak Bros.' siphons, the output of their glass works in Bohemia, Austria. Any one familiar with the rigid tests to which siphon bottles are put by the firm of Carl H. Schultz will readily appreciate what it means for any one house to serve Carl H. Schultz year after year. It is further interesting to note that this firm was one of the first to adopt the "Collar Ring Siphon," the latest patent of Koscherak Bros, and the advantages of this siphon over the Standard bottle prompted them to place their order for the "Collar Ring Siphon" in very large quantities. The "Collar Ring Siphon" is far beyond its experimental stage, and it can be readily understood why Koscherak Bros.' report an unprecedented volume of business for 1908. Patented May 22, 1906 KOSCHERAK BROS. 29-31-33 PARK PLACE NEW YORK American Bottler (New York, New York) January 15, 1908 _______________________________________________________________________________________ What You Ought to Know About The Koscherak Siphon The Glass Bottle:- Our Glass Works in Bohemia, Austria, introduced the Bohemian Siphon into this country in 1887. They came as they now come from the only Glass Works devoted exclusively to making siphon bottles. We know how our bottles are blown, selected and tested so that we can guarantee every one of them. Bohemian Glass to-day is not essentially good glass, any more than all the Ginger Ale made in Belfast is all of the same quality that made Belfast famous. Would it be fair to judge any product by the country of its origin? Get the point? The Siphon Head:- Manufacturers whose only way of gaining your attention is a cheap price, find no end of opportunities of making good for themselves by substituting some cheap and inferior metal for Pure Block Tin. What proof have you? Have you ever stopped to test the composition? IŁ there is any difference in our price and any other, you can look for the reason right there. Established since 1887, the Koscherak Siphon to-day is made by the oldest and largest Siphon Supply House in America. Are you going to let that count for something? The Complete Siphon: The combined output of our Glass Works in Bohemia, Austria, and of the largest, best organized and managed plant in America, where the methods of manufacture have been brought to a point of positive perfection. The best possible proof for this is that our customers are the leading and largest bottlers in every section of the country. Our Guarantee := The Koscherak Siphon is always sold at a price that is right, fair and honest. You can count on prompt service, fair and liberal treatment. Why take the risk of buying of an unknown or irresponsible house? Koscherak Brothers The Oldest and Largest Siphon Supply House in America 1318-1320 Park Avenue Hoboken, N. J. Treasury Department, July 15, 1914 Sir: Drawback is hereby allowed under paragraph O of section 4 of the tariff act of October 3, 1913, and the drawback regulations (T. The allowance shall not exceed the number of imported parts used in the manufacture of the exported articles, as shown by the sworn statement of the manufacturers, dated June 6, 1914, which is transmitted herewith for filing in your office. J., filed suit through their attorney, P. D. Maddin, against Henry Loveman and Sol Loveman, doing business as the Banner Brand Bottling company, Joseph Sanderson, Deputy Sheriffs B. R. Crigger and J. H. Linebaugh. It is sought to recover a debt of $1,014.28, less credits thereon amounting to $625. This debt is secured by a mortgage on a number of bottling supplies and fixtures. It is claimed in the bill that Joseph Sanderson secured an attachment against the property named in the mortgage, and that Deputy Sheriffs B. R. Crigger and J. H. Linebaugh proceeded to levy on the same. The Koscherak Siphon company seeks to have this property taken away from the officers and sold under the mortgage to satisfy their debt. This appears to indicate that bottles marked "Bohemia" were manufactured by the Hoboken company. It appears that the Koscherak Siphon Bottle Works bottles were manufactured by C. Stolzle's Sons glass works in Bohemia. The related patent date on their 1908 advertisement and that this works was the only siphon manufacturer in Bohemia at the time. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Go To North American Soda & Beers Home |
