AN OLD TIMER                 
                  PASSES AWAY

Frederick J. Hills, and old resident of the Islands, and proprietor of the Hawaiian Soda Water Works, died at one o'clock this morning.  Mr. Hills was very well known in Honolulu.  His death is due to old age, he being a eighty-one years old.  He leaves behind a wife and three sons here.  Mr. Hills was an Englishman and in his earlier years he was in the British army being one of the many soldiers who fought in the Maori wars in New Zealand.  His home was at 1425 Emma street.
