REMEDY FOR FEVER AND AGUE-Dupont's Artesian Well Water.--One of our citizens, in whose statements we have always placed implicit confidence, informed us yesterday, that he had used the water from  the artesian well with perfect success in the cure of fever and ague.  Perplexed almost to desperation with the chills, he happily thought that there might be some efficacy in the mineral water brought to light from so great a depth.  He consequently ventured to make the experiment, and with the greatest success.  Delighted at the results, he divulged the secret to several persons afflicted with this unpleasant and distressing disease, and they recovered, the chills being broken almost instantly.
We regard these facts as of great importance, and trust that the facility will make the experiments necessary to insure the public confidence in this new and cheap remedy.  If this discovery proves correct, there will immediately arise a demand for Dupont's artesian water that will be apt to exhaust the supply, unless a more powerful stream be found.
