The Messrs. DuPont have petitioned Council for permission to lay pipes through the city to conduct the Artesian water to one or more desirable points.  This is an admirable idea.  The location of the well renders it inconvenient for many to visit it, and if the proprietors are willing to carry the medical water into our hotels or other places to suit public convenience, the permission should be cheerfully according to them.
