Receiving Stolen Property.--Bartholomew
Scanlan was arrested on a warrant, charged by a man
named Thomas S. Waterman, (successor to Messrs. Holmes &
Co., Soda water Manufacturers in this city, ) with
receiving from ten to fifteen hundred dozen mineral
water bottles marked Holmes & Co., worth $750, twelve
dozen of which were found in Scanlan's house on Delord
street.
