ATTEMPTED BURGLARIES.Between 12 and 1 o'clock on Monday morning, two men, supposed to be burglars, were seen upon the roof of the hardware establishment of Messrs. John E. and George M. McCommas, No. 20 N. Howard street, by Mrs. Robinson, living on Fayette street, near Howard. ......
  On the same night, attempts were made to rob the silver plating establishment of Mr. Archibald Campbell, on Light street, near the Fountain Hotel, the case factory adjoining, and the bottling establishment of Mr. Russell, on Mercer street, but in neither case was an entrance effected.
