Zacharias Reed, a widely known dealer in live stock, died October 8th at Bean's hotel, in Kulpsville, where he made his home, age 74 years.  He had been ailing for some time with Bright's disease, which caused his death.
Mr. Reed was a resident of Kulpsville for a half century or more and during his long and active career was an extensive dealer in live stock, continuing in that business as long as health permitted.  By reason of his extensive business he became widely known.
Diseased was twice married and both wives preceded him in death.  He leaves four sons and one daughter-Wilson Reed, of Telford; Titus Reed, of Perkasie; Elmer Reed, of Kulpsville; Nevin Reed, of Schwenksville, and Sophia, wife of Wilford Huston, of Canada.  One brother and three sisters also remain-George Reed, of Telford; Mrs. Mary Hillegass and Mrs. Sarah Shutt, of Philadelphia, and Miss Sophia Reed, of Norristown.
Interment was made at the Christ Reformed burial grounds, above Kulpsville.
